Nicki Minaj Covers Billboard Magazine

She appeared on the December issue of V Magazine and all within the same month, Billboard Magazine invited her to cover theirs!

Nicki Minaj speaks about the long-awaited "The Pinkprint" album among a few other things. She says,
"It's corny when rappers feel like they've made it and they don't have to prove themselves anymore. You should always be competing. You should always be trying to show that you are the best. My album is going to be important to hip-hop."
She goes on to speak about being a female amongst a bunch of males in a male-dominated genre. She speaks about being on countless conference calls with her team while there are some artists who have the luxury of having that done for them. She says,

"Sometimes as women in the industry -- if you're sexy or like doing sexy things -- some people subconsciously negate your brain. They think you're stupid."

Her comment about "The Pinkprint" being important to hip-hop leaves us excited and curious as to what exactly she has in store for us! As she stated, she is one of few females in a male-dominated genre. We would be lying if we said she wasn't the best out right now. Surprisingly, because of how the industry is set up, Nicki is STILL relevant and still appeals to the masses. She still has the game on lock. All that being said, it's not hard to believe her when she says her album will be important to hip-hop.
